About this course

Economics and mathematics is a combination built on genuine intellectual affinity. Economic analysis has become increasingly mathematical over the past century, drawing on calculus to model individual optimisation, differential and difference equations to study dynamic economic behaviour, and topology and linear algebra to establish foundational results in welfare economics and general equilibrium theory.
