It is the study and practice of how stories are told through performance, encompassing the work of actors, directors, writers, and makers who create live experiences for audiences. The discipline asks how theatre communicates, how performance is shaped by its cultural and historical moment, and what it means to inhabit a character, construct a scene, or bring a script to life on stage or screen.

At the University of Chester, this three-year full-time degree is designed for students who want to develop their practice and knowledge at a professional level, whether as performers, directors, writers, or creative collaborators.
