At the University of Salford, this two-year full-time programme provides a concentrated grounding in the core disciplines and methods of data science. You will study statistics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, data analysis, programming, and the computational tools needed to work with large and complex datasets. The programme engages with a wide range of real-world applications, including recommendation systems, natural language processing, computer vision, and analytical tools used in healthcare, business, and the sciences, giving you a sense of the extraordinary breadth of contexts in which data science skills are applied.

You will develop the ability to formulate analytical problems, apply appropriate methods, evaluate results critically, and communicate your findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
