Computing science and geography is a combination that might not be immediately obvious, but it is one of remarkable coherence and growing professional relevance. Computing science addresses the theory and practice of computation: how algorithms are designed and analysed, how large software systems are built and managed, how artificial intelligence and machine learning work, and how data can be retrieved, stored, and processed at scale.
