About this course

Computer systems engineering sits at the boundary between hardware and software, addressing the design, integration, and optimisation of computing systems that operate in the real world. Unlike pure computer science, it attends to the physical constraints of systems, from power consumption and signal processing to embedded programming and electronic circuit design. The discipline is central to the development of everything from smart devices and wearable technology to autonomous vehicles, industrial automation, and the internet of things.

Coventry University's programme includes a foundation year at the start, providing a thorough academic and technical preparation before you progress into the main degree.
