Technology is continuing to evolve and rapid developments are changing life as we know it. Learn to design the innovative systems behind these developments while examining how they collect and process information. You could study just computer science or electronic engineering, but by studying a programme that is a 50/50 split, you’ll be able to choose from a wider range of career opportunities.

Our expert teaching team cover the foundations of computer software and hardware, with modules in everything from programming and circuit design to operating systems and signals. In our Electronics Lab and Informatics Teaching Lab, you’ll get practical experience with digital circuit design, embedded systems and various software development tools. These form the foundation of computer systems, the internet and the applications that run on it.

You’ll also learn about intelligent systems, which have a range of applications, from vehicles to smart cities.
