About this course

Computer engineering sits at the intersection of electronic hardware and software systems, asking how physical circuits and digital code work together to produce the devices and networks that modern life depends on. At Edge Hill University this programme runs across four years, beginning with a STEM foundation year that builds the scientific and mathematical foundations needed for degree-level study in engineering and computer science. The foundation year is designed for students who are motivated and capable but who may not have taken the precise combination of A-level subjects that traditional engineering entry requires, and it provides a thorough grounding in the subjects needed to proceed to the full degree.
