Chemistry with Management

Chemistry with management is a degree for those who want both the scientific rigour of a high-quality chemistry education and the commercial and organisational awareness to apply that knowledge effectively in professional and leadership contexts. At Imperial College, you will complement your chemical studies by building extensive laboratory experience, learning to synthesise chemicals and study chemical systems through experimental measurements and computational models. The chemistry curriculum is built on strong research foundations and covers organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry at a rigorous level. The management component introduces you to the business context in which chemistry is applied, covering strategy, finance, and organisational management.

The programme runs over four years full-time, with a typical entry tariff of 184 points.

Graduates of chemistry with management degrees are well placed for careers that combine scientific expertise with commercial responsibility: technical management and R and D leadership in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and materials industries; management consultancy focused on science and technology sectors; and entrepreneurship in science-based businesses.
