Chemistry with Data Science

At Strathclyde this five-year full-time programme gives you a thorough grounding in both disciplines. You will study the major branches of chemistry, including organic, inorganic, physical, and analytical chemistry, alongside substantial training in data science, machine learning, and computational methods. The combination is designed for students who want to work at the interface of experimental chemistry and digital technology, and who recognise that the future of chemical discovery is increasingly shaped by computational approaches.

A sandwich year provides professional experience in a chemistry, data science, or pharmaceutical setting, and a year abroad is available, along with work placement experience embedded throughout the programme.
