Business management and law is a combination that reflects the realities of how organisations actually function. At the University of Law, this four-year full-time programme includes a placement year, which gives you structured professional experience alongside your academic studies. The placement year is a significant component of the degree, placing you in a real business or legal environment where you can develop professional skills, build a network, and return to your final year with direct insight into how business and law interact in practice. You will study core areas of business management including strategy, finance, marketing, and organisational behaviour, alongside key legal subjects including contract law, tort, employment law, and company law.

The programme develops communication skills, the ability to evaluate legal and business situations, and the professional awareness needed to work effectively in commercial environments.

Graduates pursue careers in corporate management, commercial law, compliance, human resources, finance, and a range of fields where legal awareness and business knowledge work together. Some go on to qualify as solicitors through the Solicitors Qualifying Examination. Others pursue careers in business, consultancy, or public administration.
