About this course

Business management is one of the most broadly applicable of undergraduate degrees, developing the analytical, strategic, and interpersonal skills that are relevant across virtually every sector of the economy. The discipline examines what a business is, how it interacts with its environment, how it serves customers, and how it handles competition, drawing on economics, psychology, finance, and strategic theory to develop a rounded understanding of commercial and organisational life.

At Liverpool Hope University, this four-year full-time programme includes a foundation year that builds the academic foundations needed for degree-level study, providing an accessible and well-supported entry route for students from a wide range of educational backgrounds. You will learn the basic principles of business management and progress through a curriculum that covers strategy, marketing, finance, operations, human resource management, and entrepreneurship. The programme includes a sandwich year, a year abroad, and work placement, giving you a richly varied range of professional and international experience that significantly strengthens your employability before you graduate.

The typical entry tariff is 56 UCAS points, making this one of the most inclusive business management programmes available. The programme is studied full time.

Graduates from business management programmes go on to careers in management consultancy, marketing, finance, operations, human resources, project management, and general management across every sector of the economy. Many also launch their own ventures or pursue postgraduate study, including MBA programmes, specialist masters degrees, and professional qualifications in accounting, marketing, or HR.
