About this course

Fashion is one of the world's most dynamic and culturally significant industries, but behind every collection and campaign lies a complex infrastructure of business strategy, supply chain management, brand development and digital innovation. Business management with a fashion specialism connects the operational and strategic disciplines of commerce with the creativity, trend intelligence and consumer insight that shape the fashion sector. The result is a course for those who want to work within fashion not as designers but as the people who run, grow and transform fashion businesses.

You will build core business skills in areas such as marketing, finance, operations, strategy and entrepreneurship, applying them directly to fashion industry contexts. You will examine how fashion brands are built and positioned, how digital channels have transformed retail and communication, and how sustainability is reshaping business models across the industry. Research methods, consumer behaviour and data-driven decision making are woven through the programme, equipping you to think analytically as well as creatively.

The course encourages an entrepreneurial outlook, preparing you for the realities of a sector that rewards agility, innovation and an understanding of global markets.

Graduates move into roles across the fashion and wider creative industries. Brand management, buying and merchandising, marketing and communications, e-commerce, retail management and fashion consultancy are among the most common career paths. The business skills developed through this degree also translate well into adjacent sectors including luxury goods, media and the broader consumer industries.

Some graduates go on to launch their own ventures, while others progress to postgraduate study in business, fashion management or marketing.

The programme genuinely lives up to its reputation. The best part: the accounting and finance streams are taught by practitioners, not just academics. If I'm honest, some seminar groups were too big for meaningful discussion. On the city —
