About this course

Business management and information technology is a combination that addresses the two most transformative forces shaping modern organisations: the strategic, operational, and human dimensions of effective management, and the digital technologies that are reshaping how businesses create value, serve customers, and compete. Understanding both is increasingly a prerequisite for effective leadership in most industries, as digital transformation makes technical literacy inseparable from business acumen. This four-year full-time degree at Liverpool Hope University includes a foundation year, a sandwich placement year, a year abroad, and embedded work placement experience.

You will develop business knowledge across strategy, marketing, finance, operations, and human resources alongside technical understanding of information systems, software development, data management, and the digital infrastructure that modern organisations depend on. The foundation year ensures you are thoroughly prepared for the demands of the degree, and the sandwich year, year abroad, and work placements give you substantial professional and international experience that grounds your academic learning in real business and technology contexts.

A typical entry tariff of 104 UCAS points reflects a broadly accessible admissions standard. Graduates from business management and information technology programmes move into careers in IT management, business analysis, digital transformation and consultancy, project management, systems implementation, e-commerce, data management, and general business management roles in organisations across every sector of the economy. Many continue to postgraduate study in business, information systems, or technology management.
