About this course

Business information technology sits at the interface between commercial organisation and digital systems, addressing how information technology is used to support, transform and create business value. It draws on both management and computing disciplines, examining how organisations manage data and information, how digital systems support operations and decision-making, and how the adoption of new technologies changes the way businesses function. As digital transformation has moved from a specialist concern to a universal organisational reality, the ability to work fluently across the business and technology domains has become genuinely valuable.

At the University of Salford this three-year, full-time programme is developed with industry insight, emphasising real-world learning through both simulated and live projects that allow you to apply theory directly to practice. You will gain expertise in industry-standard IT and digital workplace tools, data analysis for business, information management and the processes of digital transformation.
