Business Economics

Business economics brings together the analytical tools of economics and the practical orientation of business studies to produce graduates who can apply economic thinking to real-world organisational challenges. This four-year, full-time programme at the University of Hull includes a placement year, giving you the opportunity to work within a business or economic context and to apply the concepts and analytical methods you have studied in a genuine professional environment. You will develop skills in economic analysis, quantitative methods, financial reasoning, strategic thinking, and communication, building the ability to construct well-reasoned arguments and present them clearly to a range of audiences. The placement year is an integral part of the degree rather than an optional addition, ensuring that all graduates leave with practical experience alongside their academic qualifications.
