About this course

Business and management at degree level develops the analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills that are needed in almost every professional context where organisations need to be directed, resources allocated, and decisions made under uncertainty. It draws on economics, psychology, finance, and strategic theory to build a rounded understanding of how commercial and public organisations work and what makes them effective or ineffective.

At Brunel University London, this four-year full-time programme gives you a broad knowledge and appreciation of the issues faced in the world of business, equipping you with the skills required to understand, analyse, and address the challenges faced by today's companies. You will study strategy, marketing, finance, operations management, organisational behaviour, and entrepreneurship, developing both conceptual frameworks and practical skills. The programme includes a placement year, which is a particularly valuable feature: you will spend a year working in a business environment before your final year, applying your learning, developing your professional identity, and building the network and the evidence of capability that employers look for in graduates.

The typical entry tariff is 120 UCAS points, and the programme is studied full time over four years.

Graduates from business and management programmes at Brunel go on to careers in management consultancy, marketing, finance, operations, human resources, project management, and general management across every sector. Many pursue postgraduate study, including MBA programmes and specialist masters degrees. The combination of academic rigour and placement experience that this programme provides is a strong foundation for a wide range of careers.

The course has exceeded my expectations. The best part: the accounting and finance streams are taught by practitioners, not just academics. If I'm honest, accommodation allocation was stressful in the first year. On the city β€” local cost of…

Honestly, one of the best decisions I've made. The best part: small-group tutorials really push your thinking. If I'm honest, admin can be slow to respond, especially at start of term. On the city β€” local cost of living is manageable if you…
