Business and human resource management is a combination that reflects the reality of how organisations function. At Wrexham University, this three-year, full-time programme includes a foundation year and a sandwich placement year, as well as work placement experience, giving it a particularly strong practical orientation alongside the academic curriculum. The curriculum covers core business subjects including accounting and finance, marketing, operations, and strategy, alongside specialist HRM content covering employment law, recruitment and selection, learning and development, performance management, employee relations, and equality and diversity. You will also develop research skills and the ability to use evidence to support HR decisions.

Graduates from business and HRM programmes work in HR generalist and specialist roles across all sectors, including talent acquisition, learning and development, employee relations, and organisational development. Many enter graduate HR schemes with large employers. Others move into general management, consulting, or business development roles where their understanding of both strategy and people management is valuable.
