At Sunderland, this three-year full-time programme includes a foundation year, a sandwich year, a year abroad and a work placement, giving you a rich combination of academic preparation, professional experience and international exposure. The foundation year builds your academic skills and subject knowledge before you engage with the full degree. The sandwich year and work placement give you structured time in industry, and the year abroad broadens your perspective on how business and finance are practised in different national contexts.

You will develop your understanding of financial markets, corporate finance, management accounting and investment alongside the broader business management disciplines, graduating with a degree that is genuinely oriented towards employment.

Graduates move into roles in financial management, business analysis, banking, investment, corporate finance, management consultancy and graduate management programmes across a wide range of sectors. Professional qualifications in accounting or finance are commonly pursued alongside or after the degree, and postgraduate study in finance or business administration is a natural option.
