At the University of Suffolk, this four-year programme includes a foundation year, providing an accessible entry point for students who are building their scientific background before entering the main degree. The foundation year develops the biological, chemical, and mathematical foundations you need to succeed in the degree, and the transition into the main programme is carefully supported. You will then study cell and molecular biology, genetics, ecology, physiology, and the research methods that underpin scientific inquiry, developing both theoretical understanding and practical laboratory skills.
