About this course

Our MBiol degree programme covers many topics, from the interactions of different organisms and all elements of their environment, to how genes are expressed. It also includes a placement year. Our flexible Master of Biology (MBiol) programme covers all aspects of biological sciences and includes a placement year in industry or research.

Exploring the study of living organisms, you will learn about many topics, from the interactions of different organisms and all elements of their environment, to how genes are expressed. Our skills-based curriculum will equip you with data analysis, reflection, coding and problem-solving skills, as well as teaching you effective communication and independent thinking. This will prepare you to be a part of the next generation of scientific thinkers who apply their skills in various contexts.

This programme is usually studied over 5 years, however some students may be eligible to enter in Year 2 and complete the programme in 4 years.
