Archaeology and Celtic and Anglo-Saxon studies is a combination that illuminates the early medieval world of Britain and Ireland from two complementary perspectives. At the University of Aberdeen, this four-year full-time programme includes a year abroad and adds to your exploration of the lives and legacy of Celtic, Anglo-Saxon, and Scandinavian peoples within a broad study of human activity. You will develop skills in the material analysis and fieldwork methods of archaeology alongside the textual and linguistic skills needed to engage with the vernacular and Latin sources that illuminate early medieval culture.
