At the Royal Agricultural University, this two-year full-time programme is designed for those who want to develop the practical, business and leadership skills needed to manage an agricultural or agri-food enterprise. The RAU has a distinctive character as a specialist land-based institution, and the programme benefits from that focus: teaching is grounded in the realities of agricultural practice, and you will engage with the business and management challenges that farm enterprises actually face. You will study the economics and finance of farm businesses, the management of agricultural resources, the regulatory and environmental frameworks within which farming operates, and the strategic decisions that shape farm performance over time.
The relatively short two-year duration makes this programme particularly well suited to those who are returning to farming after a period of practical experience, or who want to convert existing skills and knowledge into a recognised qualification without committing to a longer degree programme.
