About this course

Aerospace engineering is one of the most demanding and exhilarating branches of engineering, concerned with the design, development, and operation of aircraft, spacecraft, and the systems that make them work. It draws on fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, structural analysis, propulsion, materials science, and control systems, applying them to environments of extreme temperature, pressure, and dynamic loading that push engineering knowledge to its limits. The aerospace sector is at the forefront of technological innovation, and the engineers it trains are among the most capable and versatile in any industry.

At the University of Liverpool, this three-year full-time programme includes a year abroad, giving you the opportunity to study at a partner institution in another country. Aerospace engineering is an inherently international discipline, and the year abroad gives you exposure to different engineering traditions and academic cultures, which is valuable in an industry where major programmes routinely involve collaboration across national borders.
