Actuaries analyse the financial consequences of uncertain future events, using statistical modelling to set insurance premiums, value pension liabilities, and advise organisations on how to manage financial risk. At the University of Liverpool, this three-year programme is aimed at students who see themselves working in insurance, financial, or governmental services, where actuarial mathematics plays a key role.
