Accounting and Finance with Foundation Year

Accounting and finance is the language through which organisations understand and communicate their financial position, performance and prospects. At the University of Derby this four-year, full-time programme begins with a foundation year, giving you a structured route into degree-level study if you would benefit from additional preparation before the main accounting and finance content begins. You will then study financial and management accounting, corporate finance, taxation, auditing, financial reporting, investment analysis and business law, building the technical knowledge that underpins professional practice. The programme includes a sandwich placement year, a year abroad and a work placement, all of which provide direct professional experience in accounting, finance or business environments before graduation.
