The Role & Expectations
As a concrete operative, you will be at the forefront of concrete production, responsible for mixing, pouring, and finishing concrete to meet the specific requirements of construction projects. Your day-to-day tasks will involve operating machinery, ensuring quality control, and collaborating closely with site managers and other tradespeople to ensure that projects run smoothly and efficiently. You will need to be physically fit and comfortable working in various weather conditions, as much of the work is outdoors and can be physically demanding.
In addition to technical skills, concrete operatives must have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of health and safety regulations. You will be expected to follow strict guidelines to ensure the safety of yourself and your colleagues while working with heavy machinery and materials. The role often requires problem-solving skills, as you may need to adapt to changing site conditions or client specifications. Daily Responsibilities
